Sharing Workload
By being in a team you have the opportunity to share the workload amongst the rest of the team members. With the work being shared no one feels the burden of taking on the whole project.  A fair work distribution ensures that every person or every working unit executes the task at hand, with the best possible efficiency. The division of work, also, ensures that the work is done on time and deadlines are not extended.

Building Mutual Associations
By working together in teams you naturally build friendships and bond with your “coworkers”. This increases the desire to go to work to do your work. This also makes goals more attainable.

Training
To work together successfully, your team should be trained to recognize the value of accepting new ideas and and trusting opinions from all members. Acceptance creates respect and fosters collaboration among team members instead of competition. Teams learn to focus on what they can create together from different backgrounds, skill sets and personalities. One exercise to develop trust is to blindfold team members and have their partner guide them, with verbal instructions, through an obstacle course. Once they have developed trust and respect, the team can work together productively, solving problems on a project, providing feedback and offering suggestions for improvement.

blog 15 Independent Component 2 Approval

Content:
1.  Describe in detail what you plan to do for your 30 hours.
I plan to make a survey to test and prove my answer of leadership and communication importance on my project. This way we can analyze what truly is important when in a leadership position of yearbook.  I will contact about 21 different people from different positions and schools to gather the best data.
2.  Discuss how or what you will do to meet the expectation of showing 30 hours of evidence.
I will record a log of the answers and provide proof of the exchanges between the different people I contact. I will also compile my data and present it in charts.
3.  And explain how what you will be doing will help you explore your topic in more depth.
It will help me and other editors understand the key qualities in managing yearbook. it will also provide evidence and backing to my two answers.
4.  Post a log on the right hand side of your blog near your other logs and call it the independent component 2 log.

blog 14 Independent Component 1

1. LITERAL
(a) “I, Stacy Peralta, affirm that I completed my independent component which represents 30 hours of work.”
(b)  Strand helped formulated ideas as did Mimi but most of my help was from the yearbook camp curriculum and well as the editors hand book.
(d) My independent component was working on the deadline and just overall formulating deadlines with the staff as the school year went on. At first I was going to do the leadership role in yearbook but changed it last minute on the recommendation of Purther to actually working on the deadline. This year keeping track of the deadline was important because the book is chronological meaning we cover what is going on that week and not by topic. It is important to remember what we covered and what we didn't so we don't miss out on important events like model assembly.
2. INTERPRETIVE

Well my component speaks for it self really. I have provided photos of our deadlines before and after. I have also provided multiple revisions of the deadlines as well as some of the spreads the designers have completed. I have also provide images of  HJ epage- the site we turn in our spread to. AS you can see we have uploaded quite a few spreads. My work is key for my senior project but also for yearbook as we need it to do any work. (See below for evidence)

3. APPLIED
This was essential because it made we work on the deadlines and  see all the issues we get as well as apply some of the information I am learning from research check. I helped me learn about the many factors that sffect deadlines like staff issues. It forced me to say change my deadlines multiple times and keep me on my toes so that we could turn in work.
